Chesapeake City firefighters parade

They had a parade of fire trucks, firefighters, fire prevention queens and such through town today. Nothing like living in a small town.

Town Councilwoman Natalie was in the parade. She and our nieces, Emily and Autumn, and our nephew Trevor all dressed as pirates and threw candy to parade watchers as Stephanie drove them around in Natalie's mom's convertible. Click pics to see larger versions.

More parade photos can be found on the Canal Side blog.

The parade was sponsored by Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1 of Chesapeake City.

Thanks to my wonderful husband for making the video for the fire company, making a video for the blog and helping out. Everyone appreciates your hard work with the blog...it really does bring a smile to everyone's face.

Also a HUGE thanks to: Mama & Pops for showing your support and bringing Autumn, Wendy for taking photos, Stephen for bringing Emily & Trevor, Stephanie for driving the Pirates, Mom for letting me use the car, all participants who came out on such a threatening weather day, and lastly, the Chesapeake City Volunteer Fire Company for putting on such a FABULOUS parade and day for the town.
