Way Back When-sday
At top is a picture of me from 1966 in Mammy and Granddaddy's yard in Roxboro, N.C. I was less than a year old. You'll notice I'm blurry but Pops' 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 LTD behind me is in focus. That's the car again to the right parked in front of our home when we lived in Grifton, N.C.
That car could really move. As you can see in the chart, it had low 0-60 numbers and tons of horsepower. I blame this car on making Pops the "stomp on the gas pedal" type of driver that he is today.
At right is one somebody is trying to sell.

What an awesome car. Jason and I went to buy a '66 Plymouth Fury a couple years ago, just for fun, and saw the seller's Galaxie parked on the street. We kinda wanted that more than the Fury. It was a fun cruiser, taking the family out in the "boat."
My Pops already got all nostalgic telling me about the car. He told me he got it the year he graduated from North Carolina State. He said he couldn't have afforded it -- it was fully loaded -- except that the car dealer was a State grad and always looked to help fellow members of the Wolfpack. So he cut him a deal on the demo model...
