Adding spice to each other's lives since 1966
I spotted this bald eagle picking away at part of a dead deer halfway across a cornfield near Chesapeake City, Md., the other day. The new camera helped me zoom in some. It's still a bit grainy but it's always nice to see an eagle.

Wow, that's amazing!
Nice find JG! What is that next to the eagle?
So what kind of spiffy new lens have you got? :- )
Hey J....
It looks like it could be a peregrine falcon. There were a couple of vultures off to the right waiting their turn, so I know it's not a vulture. But I couldn't get a clear enough shot of it to feel comfortable ID'ing it as a falcon. But it looks similar to many other images of peregrines that I looked up.
About the camera ... I picked up a little Panasonic Lumix FZ7 digital that has a Leica lens on it. It's 6 megapixels and has a 12X zoom. It also does good video and sound so it's perfect for what I use it for.
