The friendly retired guy in the bar

While Natalie and I were in Cape May, N.J., on Sunday, we found this bar where we could have some beer and wings and watch the Eagles game. While we were there, this older guy came in and started chatting up the people around him, including two Mexican guys he tried to talk about soccer with but they couldn't understand each other. Anyway, that soccer conversation made me turn on my camera. Although I was too late to get that, I did get him talking about a few other things with a couple sitting next to him, including being given a computer 40 years into his job at Macy's and him asking a 17-year-old stockboy to teach him how to use it. The man said he was stopping in for one beer on his way home. He was on number four when I started filming him and was still there -- being as friendly as ever -- when we left. Here's the video.

I want to be him so bad. Please. Sit in bars. Drink beer. Watch football. Repeat.
