Way Back When-sday

In the picture at top, Granddaddy (Mama's daddy) poses with a bunch of men he went fishing with on a charter boat out of Sneads Ferry, N.C. Granddaddy is the second one from the left. Hanging behind them is their catch of the day. In the photo at right, Stephen and I stand on the rototiller to get our picture taken with Granddaddy. The caption written on the back of the picture says:

At Granddaddy's house helping plant garden.
Jeffrey -- 3.
Stephen -- 2.
1969.

Hey, Son. This section of "old" pictures bring back a lot of memories and believe it or not, I do remember all these men's names. The first man is Captain, don't really know his last name. Next one is Daddy, then William Walker, Ollie "Skinny" Russell, Claude Jones and the last one is Forrest Grasty, he was Daddy's next door neighbor and friend. All of these men went to church together until they went to the man upstairs. They always had a good time but probably not like the times ya'll have tail gating.
